After a trying start to 2013, we at the Book House in Dinkytown can now officially let all our friends in on the next chapter of our 37 year history. It is with a strange mixture of sadness and excitement that we are announcing our move up 14th Ave and across 4th St, into the historic Dinkydale Mall. In July, the Book House will open a scaled-back retail shop we are calling the "Best of" the Book House in Dinkytown. There, just above the two bike shops on 4th St. SE, you will be able find the eclectic selection of used and rare books that has kept many of you coming back year after year. Our focus on out-of-print, academic, rare, and otherwise unusual books, as well as fiction and literature for everyone, will not change at all. There will still be plenty to find in this curated selection, and we will still have our vast collection available online for ordering and in-store pick-up. Throughout the month of June, you can help us defray costs and lighten our load by stopping into our current location at 429 4th St SE and picking up books for a 20% discount.
We are excited to see you all in our new home and hope that Dinkytown remains a place that our friends can visit, shop and participate in its vibrant and unique culture.

near the East Bank of the University of Minnesota, we've been providing
quality used books to the Twin Cities area for over 30 years. With
over 100,000 books in the store and over 20,000 in our warehouse,
there's plenty to look at both in store and online.
New books are arriving everyday and getting added to our catalog--you
can search these listings using the search function on the left hand
side of the page. However, many sections of the store
are not cataloged (like our extensive paperback literature section), so if you
are looking for a specific book and you don't see it online, please contact our store directly. |
